Survey results: Birkenhead War Memorial Park

Background
Auckland Council is planning the future of the large Birkenhead War Memorial Park which includes Birkenhead Pool and Leisure Centre, a bike track, cemeteries, and sports fields. We asked the Peoples Panel about how they’d shape the park’s future.
How we will use the results
The issues and opportunities raised in the People’s Panel survey and other consultation feedback will be considered by park user groups who will develop potential solutions. These solutions will be tested with volunteers for park workshops and focus groups. The draft master plan will then be prepared for public consultation in April 2018.
Methodology
- 2634 panellists received an invitation
- 486 surveys were completed
- Survey was open for 12 days (17-29 October 2017)
This survey was run on Auckland Council's People's Panel, a quick and easy way for Aucklanders to help shape Auckland by taking part in short surveys.
