  • Apply for rates relief for an uninhabitable storm-damaged property

We acknowledge that 2023 has been difficult for you and many residents in Tāmaki Makaurau. Our thoughts are with the thousands of Aucklanders who have been severely impacted by the weather events earlier this year.

How your application will be reviewed

Storm-affected properties that were uninhabitable at 30 June 2023 qualify for rates relief. We will use building assessment information held by Auckland Council to review your application.

If a council compliance officer has not carried out a recent building assessment, we may arrange one before making a decision.
